Camp Adventure is a service learning program, headquartered at the University of Northern Iowa. We train college-aged students who provide fun and interactive services to children in 20 countries world-wide, including Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Germany, Belgium, England, Italy, Russia and the United States including Hawaii. Participants' living expenses and travel are paid. Youth programs take place during the summer and are approximately 8-10 weeks in length.
Camp Adventure Youth Services is composed of caring, committed, and competent individuals dedicated in their service to children and youth. The Camp Adventure Youth Services program provides a wide array of opportunities to serve children and youth, integrate theory with practice, develop new knowledge, skills and competencies, as well as to be a part of a worthwhile endeavor. Camp Adventure Youth Services program is noted for its dynamism, zest, energy, and enthusiasm, as well as commitment to quality and excellence.
This year we will recruit, interview, select and train over 895 potential camp director and counselor applicants to join our 2014 World Tour. Camp Adventure training sites include the following: University of Oregon, Oregon State University, and Western Oregon University, we offer training programs at the University of Northern Iowa, University of Iowa, Iowa State University, Florida A&M University, Chico State University, Washington State University, University of California Davis, University of Toledo, and University of San Diego.
